LOVED this place! The waffles and pancakes are delicious. We will take a road trip to Shreveport just to eat here again.
First time and probably last time. My son and I had hamburgers and fries while my wife had the chicken fried steak Tuesday special. I thought I was eating at a seniors home the food was so bland and lacked flavor. The frozen hamburger patties they served on their burgers had no seasoning at all and could have been cooked a little bit more. The chicken fried steak was pre-made and was out to our table in minutes. Gravy was bland and the sides were just not good.
Gone here a few times over the past few years. The food is pretty good. The owners are very nice and the service is great.
Fast and friendly service!
Chicken fried steak and grilled ham and cheese sandwich all great!! Strawberry pie is always wonderful
Excellent food. Family environment. Quick service
First time here and they didn’t disappoint! Food came out fast and hot! Pancakes with strawberries and cream was to die for! Friendly, welcoming staff! Definitely will be back when I come through bossier again!!
Service and food were good. Pancakes were a little dry but everything else was delicious.
The food is always great!! They have been busy everytime we've been there. They have great, friendly service. Because they are so busy, it does take a while to get your food, and if things are missing it may take a bit to get someone's attention to get it fixed. They will fix it right away tho.
Waitress was friendly. Service was great! Food was delivered fast! So yummy!
Great Food! Place was Packed!
Went on father day morning! Got a table quick, the service was great!!!! And our food all came out at the same time hot and quick!! Prices are fair for the amount of food you get and it was tasty. The only problem is I am not crazy over their hash browns but the grits are good.
Pretty good local restaurant. I had breakfast here and the service was great with attentiveness and fast service. My only complaint was the "hash browns" are really just home fries. It was still good and overall I enjoyed my visit, but please don't call the hash browns.
The food was good, but was one of the most disorganized restaurants we have ever eaten at. Ate there on a Saturday morning, there were two waitresses, one cook, and a full restaurant! At 8 AM four more waitresses arrived after the rush! We were there over an hour!
It is a breakfast place that is busy, busy! Don't expect your order to have everything you ordered! Biscuits are homemade, heavy and rich. Their portions are large so come hungry! It isn't fancy, it turns tables over fast. It has a definate place in the community and well loved.
Not impressed. Breakfast is best, I had chicken and dumplings. Salty, dumplings about the size or a little earth worm and that's what it reminded me of. Chicken tasted and looked to be canned, shredded into stringy think pieces.
Food is good but the place isn't very clean ...cooks don't wear gloves and put their hands all over the food
national Pi day 3.14 enjoy some ice box pie
The food is pretty good. The lady who waited on us didn't seem to have very good hygiene in relation to her hands. We saw her pick up dirty plates and then wipe down the tables with a dirty rag right before heading to pick up people's orders with her thumbs literally in the food. Luckily she did not bring us our food. Other than that it was ok.
Stopped in to try the pies (which were wonderful!) Thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff we will be back soon to try the food! The pies amd food is all made from scratch. The staff went above and beyond. They were very friendly and kind towards our three small children. Even giving our toddlers a piece of pie to eat while we waited (Which the owner/manager said he probably couldn't sell at the end of the day.)
Amanda was a great host. Good food, highly recommended. Very friendly environment
There breakfast hit the spot. The hungry man lived up to its name. Also the service was awesome!
Amazing place to eat and such a friendly staff. Don't miss out on the pie!
Food is cold alot of the time and there veggies are canned. Only good thing goi g for them is the breakfast.
Gooood food! Overstuffed omelet and eggs with sausage. Kept us satisfied till late day
It's O K, KINDA NOISY, GOOD FOOD SWEET WAITERS
Excellent food, and service. Even in the pandemic they were busy and knocking out of the park.
They have the BEST breakfasts around. If you're in Shreveport/Bossier City at breakfast time, you gotta try it!
Was very good, could do better with social distancing
We're never disappointed at Strawns! The food was hot and delicious and the portions were plenty. We had meatloaf and chicken fried steak 😋 along with 3 sides. We got coconut pie to go. Can't wait to eat it very shortly 😍
8.50 for biscuits with gravy? Woooow. Thievin
Terrible mashed potatoes (I don't know how you can mess up mashed potatoes but they found the way), green beans were far away from ok, they didn't have half of the stuff that I ordered, and it looked dirty and smelled burned for the entire time! Honestly one of the worst meal I've ever had! Nice staff and good strawberry pie and that's the only thing they should serve! Who gave more than 2 stars to this place, should travel a little more and try REAL food and REAL places where you can eat!! First time there and I will never go back!!
This was our once or twice a week place when we lived in Bossier. Although we've moved, we still stop in occasionally. The food is always great and the staff is always friendly.
So yummy!! Great food served steaming hot! Great service that went above and beyond!
We had a great breakfast here and really enjoyed the traditional diner atmosphere.
For many years has been a location for breakfast anytime! They also have great chicken fried steaks, breaded at the location, all recipes have been handed down through the years at Strawn's! The best comfort food in the area! Wonderful staff, friendly, clean and nice! Just like family or your next door neighbor treat you like your family! Pies never disappoint! Some time you need to just have a cheat day from dieting or just to treat yourself this is a great place for that! Highly Recommend , again sometime you need breakfast when you want it, anytime of the day!!!
By far the worst place I have ever been to. Horrible customer service. The young lady working had a horrible attitude and every time we called her she ignored us and not to mention she forgot to bring us half our order from the counter. She blamed the cook for her mistakes and she kept yelling at her coworkers to “move faster” as she put on makeup in front of all customers. The bathrooms were disgusting and when she messed up on running the food she would pick up the plate and take it to a different table that ordered the same thing. Completely unsanitary and disgusting over all. I do not recommend anyone to go here. Lost my appetite.
Place is busy but the staff was cheerful and checking on each other's tables. Love the atmosphere!
Tried this place for the first time ever todaytoday. Had the "Thursday Special" I AM COMPLETELY SOLD. Everything was delicious. Plate size is humungous ! Food was HOT! Great Job ❤
Very good food. Very friendly and nice staff. Very reasonably priced.
Awesome, home cooked food!! April is wonderful! Service and food is fast. We'll be back every time we visit Bossier!!!
Been eating here since I was a little boy. Food is always great. Strawn’s isn’t going anywhere. If you haven’t tried it you’re missing out.If you’re traveling through Shreveport/Bossier you need to stop here. It’s known as THE breakfast spot.
I went to this restaurant in bossier to get a pie but I was disappointed when I went inside the employees are not wearing masks not going back ☹️😐
Enjoyable food and great service... strawberry pie out of this world great restaurant...
One word: Amazing! We loved this place. This is an old school diner with some delicious food. The meat is good, but the vegetables almost steal the show. Green beans, black eyed peas. I'm talking grandma-good food. Large portions. Friendly staff. Decent prices. You need to give Strawn's a try.
This place is a Shreveport tradition for a reason.I have a great chicken fried steak sandwich, and terrific hash browns. The service was great, and the pies are so good that a larger than normal lunch rush had all but decimated them. Lesson learned though, next time I'll order pie when I order mymeal. I'm so happy friends recommended this, and I'll be looking forward to trying this location as well as the original on my next visit to Shreveport.
Tried two different meals both were horrible. Server was nice. Dressing tasted nothing but sage and was dry. Friend chicken breast was dry and tough. I was very disappointed in this place
Pretty good food, but it can get pretty busy sometimes so if you're in a hurry or don't have long you might not want to go here. It's definitely worth the trip though if you come when it's not peak hours or if you have time to spare.
This place needs to be cleaned up are closed down so smokies you can't even stand to be in there I'm going state of Louisiana on this place
